Ball Hockey: Ball hockey is done for the season, but it will resume next spring.
U-14 Soccer: All U-14 soccer games will be played at the Florenceville Middle School soccer field. Practices for the team will continue at Carleton North only.
Gymnastics: River Valley Gymnastics will present, at the Florenceville Fitness Connection, two five-week sessions in the sport from July 23 to August 20. Categories will include Can-Gym Bronze for boys and girls 6 years of age and up; Flip Kids boys and girls for the 4-5 group, and Tiny Tumblers for those 3-and-under. There is a $15 insurance fee to sign up. Those interested may register at the Florenceville-Bristol Recreation Department.
Swimming Lessons: Swimming Lessons will run for two weeks from Monday to Friday from July 14 to 25 and July 28 to Aug. 8. Cost to sign up is $35 and $40. Those planning to take part are to be reminded that a pool heater has been purchased. There is limited space in each session and you must register before the session begins.
Water Pilates: Water Pilates will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m. at the Florenceville Pool. Instructor will be Ciska Bakker. The cost is $3 a session or 10 sessions for $25. For more information phone the Florenceville Pool at 392-6303.
Adult Bicycle Club: A social bike ride will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6:15 p.m.. The meeting place will be at Northern Carleton Civic Centre.
Those planning to take part are asked to bring their own bike and safety gear.

Family Picnic: Mark your calendars for the Aug. 16 Family Picnic, with games, music and swimming, set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Florenceville Park. Bring a lunch, a blanket and enjoy the day!

Volunteers Needed: The Florenceville-Bristol Recreation Department is currently looking for volunteers for a provincial swim meet scheduled to take place on Saturday, Aug. 9.
