Summer Kick Off: The Common People and Flat Top Dance will be held on Saturday, May 31 at the Northern Carleton Civic Centre in Florenceville. The show starts at 9 p.m. and doors open at 8 p.m. Cost is $15 person. Proceeds go to Portage Addiction Treatment Centre.
This event is sponsored by AYR Motor and EZ Rock. Advance tickets are available at Florenceville-Bristol Recreation Department and M & D Convenience Store. Those planned to attend must be 19 years or older.
Seniors Fair: A seniors fair, hosted by MP Mike Allen, will be held on Friday, May 23 at the Carleton Civic Centre in Woodstock. Mark it on your calendar! Look for more information coming soon!
Playschool: The Florenceville-Bristol Playschool has openings available in 3 year old class for the fall of 2008. For more information contact Cathy at 392-6716.
Western Valley Centre for Coaching: The Western Valley Centre For Coaching Education's 2008 awards will be presented at the 11th Annual Western Valley Coaching Conference/Banquet (sponsored by the Investors Group) on Thursday, May 29 at the Florenceville Curling Club. Tickets can be purchased at your local recreation departments.
Seniors: Seniors events are held every Wednesday at the Florenceville Village Hall from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $1 for cards, games, and outings. Join us for some great fun!
Adult Badminton: Adult badminton is offered on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Florenceville Middle School. Cost is $3 and you are required to bring your own racquet.
Community Wide Yard Sale: Mark your calendars for the Community Wide Yard Sale, set for Saturday, May 24.
1st Annual Men's Softball Tournament: Organized by the Florenceville-Bristol Recreation Department, this event will be July 4 to 6. For more information, please contact Steve Ewart (392-5915 or nccc@nb.aibn.com).
Walking: Walking is permitted at the NCCC during regular hours of operation except during hockey games and tournaments.
Meeting Room: Looking for place to host a meeting, or a birthday party, may contact the recreation department!
Celebration Time - July 1 - Volunteers Needed! Plans are underway for the biggest, most exciting and fun-filled day of 2008! We are planning to celebrate the grand opening of our Boardwalk and downtown Improvements- Florenceville-Bristol Canada Day. 1st Annual FloVille Cup Men's Hockey Tournament: Bobby's Rec Room Selects won the 1st Annual FloVille Cup by defeating Team Munro 10-6 in the championship game. Special thanks goes to Florenceville Pizza Delight, Florenceville Dooly's, and Moosehead.
