Nackawic, Hartland to 2008 volley finals

Two high school teams from the region will be going for provincial volleyball crowns this weekend.

Nackawic Senior High School and the Hartland Community School will be vying for girls titles in their respective NBIAA divisions.

Nackawic will be in Grand Falls for the AA championships, set to start Friday, May 16 at John Caldwell High of Grand Falls.

Hartland High will be entered in the A provincials this weekend, set for Chipman High School.

The event will feature 10 teams, including five in Pool A (Minto, Tobique Valley, Baie Ste. Anne, Rothesay Netherwood and North and South Esk) and five in Pool B (Hartland, Chipman, Harvey, Carrefour Beausoleil and McAdam High School).

Play starts Friday at 4 p.m. with the matches also slated for 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The following day (May 17), games start at 9 a.m. leading up to the semi-finals at 2:30 p.m. and the finals at 4 p.m.
