Meductic celebrates the Christmas season
Published Tuesday December 2nd, 2008

Members of the Meductic Recreation Council have been busy getting the village decked out for Christmas with garland, wreathes and bright red bows and a Christmas tree in the centre of the village.
Festivities get underway on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m., in the Meductic Community Centre with the annual "Christmas on the Hill Concert"
This year's lineup include the Carleton County Fiddlers, Gayla MacIntosh, Val Worden, Bob Jones, Brent Hickey, Ron Cleghorn and newcomer Becca DeHaan , blind singer/pianist from the Fredericton area.
Those taking in the concert will also have an opportunity to sample some of the ladies' Christmas sweets during intermission along with hot apple cider and coffee. The winner of the Christmas Basket will be drawn during the concert.
Admission to the concert will be by donation only. This is the place to be for an evening of great Christmas music.
Festivities will continue on Saturday at 2 p.m. when Santa will arrive via the fire truck at the village tree with treats for all the children. Members of the Rec Council will also be on hand with hot chocolate.
The Christmas Spirit is alive and well in Meductic, so why not drop by and join in the celebrations?
