Gymnastics: River Valley Gymnastics will present Great Exercise, Great Friends and Great Fun at the Florenceville Fitness Connection. These 8- and 10-week programs started Aug. 27. Programs, prices, and times, are as follows: Can-Gym Bronze ($55.00) - boys and girls 6-and-over, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; Flip Kids ($55.00): boys and girls of ages 4 and 5, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Tiny Tumblers ($45): boys and girls 18 months to 3-years-of-age, 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., with a $15 insurance fee. Those planning to attend are asked to register at the recreation department.
PaintBall: Sessions in this popular sport will be held Monday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the 6-11 age group and Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m for those ages 12 to 15. The $30 registration fee will include transportation and one hour of public skating. Those wishing more information may contact the recreation department.
Badminton: Tuesday sessions in the sport are held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Florenceville Middle School. Players must bring there own racquet and the cost is $3.
Two-Week Potato Break Day Camp: This event will be held from Monday, Sept. 22 until Friday Oct. 3 at the NCCC. This event is open to those from 5 to 12 years of age. The cost is $65 per person who those who live inside the town's limits and $75 for those who reside outside town limits. Space for the camp is limited. Those wishing more information may contact the recreation department.
Fitness Classes: These sessions are scheduled to start Sept. 8. For more information. please contact the Florenceville Fitness Connection at 392-6438.
Adult Bicycle Club: A social bike ride will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6:15 p.m. Meeting place will be at Northern Carleton Civic Centre.
Those planning to take part are asked to bring their own bike and safety gear. Those wishing more information may contact the recreation department.
The 2008 ButterMilk Creek Fall Festival will be held Sept. 19 and 20.
Seniors Group: This activity started Wednesday, Sept. 3. Weekly sessions will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Florenceville Village Hall. Gatherings will include socialization, games, cards, activities, outings and much more.
Fall Senior Games: Florenceville-Bristol will host a Senior Games on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Northern Carleton Civic Centre. Games will include golf, washer toss, cards, horseshoes, and much more. The Florenceville-Bristol Recreation Department is currently looking for volunteers for this event.

Outdoor Summer Market: This event will be held at Riverside Park on Main Street in Florenceville-Bristol every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market offers a variety of vendors, lunch venues, and weekly entertainment.
The market will operate until Thursday September 11. If you would like to book a space contact 392-6763.
Hockey Canada Skills Development Camp: This session will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Northern Carleton Civic Center. Those wishing more information may contact the recreation department.
