Cashol Wins Dent Daddy at Speedway 660
Published Tuesday August 19th, 2008

Mother Nature couldn't interfere with Saturday's main event at Speedway 660 in Geary, N.B., as the Dent Daddy 75 was one of the best Coast Tire Street Stock events of the season.
This top-flight race was the highlight of a great night on the track, which also featured some spectacular results in the other two categories - the Irving Lubricants Pro Stock division and the Martin's Home Heating Sportsman division - and top-5 finishes for local drivers.
In the Coast Tire Street Stock division Rick Cashol of Saint John, in his trusty #54, showed everyone why he was champion in 2006.
After starting the race in the sixth position, he climbed his way up through the field to overcome the cars one by one.
Bill Belleville of Saint John took second place, with Brian Fox of Burton third.
In the Irving Lubricants Pro Stock division the big boys ran a great race with only one major caution.
After winning his heat, and placing second in the dash, the #87 of Matt Harris of Fredericton Junctions was having such a good night he wanted to end it all with a feature win - which he did.
Brian MacNaughton of Lower Coverdale, N.B. took second while Dave Biggar of Lake George, N.B. was third.
In the Martin's Home Heating Sportsman division, the feature provided Brian Gillespie of Nackawic and Jeremy Graham of Jacksonville with their best results of the night.
The veteran wheelmen placed fourth and fifth respectively behind winner Derek Christie of Fredericton, with Cody Price of Campbell Settlement taking a respectable 13th.
In the Sportsman Dash, Graham was seventh, and Gillespie eight, behind Michael Banks ofLake George.
Next weekend's event, set for Saturday, Aug. 23, will feature not only a Mitsubushi Points Racing event, but a Fastor Pastor event with many clergymen from different places taking part in a race of their own.
