Fitness Classes: Cardio Pilates is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the cost is $6. Sessions are also offered Wednesdays and Friday' from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. for $4. Aerobics is also offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:05 p.m. to 12:55 p.m. and the cost is $4. For more information please contact the Florenceville Fitness Connection at 392-6438.
Adult Recreation Badminton: This program is held Monday nights at Florenceville Middle School from 7 to 9 p.m. Players must bring there own racquet and the cost is $3.
Playschool: The Florenceville-Bristol Playschool has openings available in the three-year-old class for fall 2008/2009. For more information contact Cathy at 392-6716.
Walking Club: A new and exciting Walking Club for adults and seniors began Monday, Oct. 20.
This new program will keep you motivated by having your distance tabulated weekly.
You will be able to see how far you travel on a map. The cost is $15.

Senior's Group: Meets Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Florenceville Village Hall. Socialization, games, cards, activities, outings and much more.
Western Valley Senior Bowling: The Western Valley Recreation Association has teamed up to provide five senior bowling opportunities at the Woodstock Bowlacade.
The time is from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $5 and dates are Nov. 20, Dec. 11, Jan. 22, Feb. 19, March 19 and April 16. For more information contact the recreation department.
2008 Shinny Hockey Season Pass: $90 (savings of $15)
Shinny hockey is held every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the NCCC until Tuesday. Dec. 23.
Players must provide helmet with facemask, gloves, stick and skates.
Monthly Passes
October Monthly Pass – $25 (Savings of $5)
November Monthly Pass – $35 (Savings of $5)
December Monthly Pass – $30 (Savings of $5)
Available at the Florenceville-Bristol recreation department.
Public Skate: This program will be held every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m., every Friday night from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., and every Sunday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
All events are subject to change.
The public skate is $2, while those under five get in free.
The family rate is as follows:
Four per family – $6 (savings of $2)
Five per family – $8 (savings of $2)
Six per family – $10 (savings of $2)
Seniors Carpet Bowling: This program will be held every Tuesday at the Florenceville Fitness Connection from 1 to 3 p.m. and the cost is $3. High scores for Oct. 21 was Betsy Tompkins (120) and Guy Tompkins (113). There will be no carpet bowling on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Power Skating: First session started Friday, Oct. 24, for ages five to seven (5 to 6 p.m.) and ages eight and up (4 to 5 p.m.).
The cost is $60 and $69 (outside user fee) with instructor Ted Deweyert.
Full hockey equipment is required and you must register by contacting the recreation department.

KaY Days: Kids and Youth Days will be held Monday, Nov. 10 and Monday, Nov. 21. Pick-up hockey for kids for those of the 6 to 11 age group will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, while those 12 to 15 will have their events from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $5 and full gear is required.
Birthday Packages: The recreation department is happy to offer Birthday Packages!
Book the meeting for a maximum of two hours and receive 10 public skate passes. Cost is $40 and Birthday Packages can only be booked when the public skate is scheduled.
Arena Schedule: The arena schedule is now available on-line.
