New manager hired

Campbellton CAO Manon Cloutier told city council recently when it met for its regular monthly meeting that a new manager has been found for the Regional Memorial Civic Centre.

Cloutier said Skipp Fowler was hired recently and is expected to start the week of Dec. 11.

The centre had been without a full-time manager since the retirement of John LeBlanc, who had been re-hired to serve as manager until a new one was found.

Council voted in favour of joining the CENB – the Conseil économique du Nouveau-Brunswick.

The cost of the membership is $390, which allows members to attend meetings and conferences organized by the CENB aimed at strengthening economic growth in the province.
