A man remains jailed as he contemplates his next steps after being charged with a serious assault earlier this month.

Bradley Dennis McCully, 33, of Wheaton Settlement, made his first court appearance on last week following his arrest. The Crown objected to his release at that time and he was remanded for a bail hearing on Monday.

McCully is charged with committing an aggravated assault on Matthew Jacob by wounding him in Petitcodiac on March 14.

The accused was in Moncton provincial court for his bail hearing on Monday via videoconference from the Shediac jail. But instead of going ahead with it, McCully consulted a lawyer and then adjourned the hearing to Thursday.
