Thirteen-year-old Dylan Weeks and his mother Joan, a dietary maid at Central Carleton Nursing Home, assist resident Barb Campbell down the street to Carleton Place. The nursing home’s 30 residents were evacuated Wednesday evening when a fire was discovered in the downstairs laundry room.
