A plaque of appreciation was presented on Friday to store manager Doug MacKenzie and the sales associates of the SAAN Store 1402 in Woodstock. This plaque was in tribute to their fundraising efforts and awareness in support of deployed troops, honouring veterans and volunteering when needed. The funds were raised by selling yellow-ribbon car magnets. Proceeds go to the Canadian Forces Base in Gagetown for its Family Resource Centre. As of May 9, the store had raised $2,525 for the cause. They also honour the troops by wearing red on Fridays. Members of ANAVETS (Army, Navy, and Air Force veterans) Unit #95 in Woodstock Beth and Robert MacFarlane, far left, presented the award to, from left, MacKenzie, and sales associates Angie Johnston, Judy Carr (assistant manager), Natasha Prior and Ken Whyte. Absent from photo are sales associates Nancy Pimlott, Susan Grant, Marjorie Urban and Jenny Dymond.
