Blood-donor clinics upcoming

The New Brunswick Community College campus in Woodstock will host a blood-donor clinic on Monday, May 12. On Tuesday, May 13, the mobile clinic will move to Florenceville Middle School.

The clinic hours for both locations are 2 to 4 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Blood donations before a long weekend are vitally important. With no collections for three days during the Victoria Day weekend, the inventory needs to be built up in advance and that's where residents of the Woodstock and Florenceville areas come in. If you haven't donated in the last 56 days and are in general good health, call 1-888-2-DONATE to book your life-saving appointment.

New Brunswick donors are generous with 5.3 per cent of the eligible population donating blood in comparison with the national average of 3.7 per cent.

However, these New Brunswickers could use more company!
