Relay for Life

Relay for Life teams are already busy organizing fundraising efforts throughoutCarletonandYorkCounties for this summer’s events in Woodstock and Nackawic.

The following is a listing of ongoing fundraisers:

The Moose Mountain Hillbillies relay team is hosting a Turkey Supper and Dance on April 12 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bath. Supper is at 6:30 p.m. and dance will follow at 9 p.m., with music by Alden Ebbett. For tickets call Carol Pelkey at 392-5968, Lorraine Pickard at 278-3277, Barbara Dugan at 278-9904 or Bernard Dugan at 278-3807.

Team Angels Among Us is selling tickets on an angel throw to raise money for the Carleton County Relay for Life, which will be held June 6 and 7 at the Connell Park Raceway in Woodstock.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. To purchase tickets call Debra Thomas at 328-6195. Or pick up tickets at the Upper River Valley Hospital, labour and delivery department. Draw date is June 1.
