
Woodstock firm wins

A Woodstock manufacturing company, which makes a variety of hardwood products, was one of 15 New Brunswick companies to receive Innovation Recognition Awards.
Maritime Dimension Hardwood Inc., which ships products worldwide from its location on Moffatt Street, was recognized for their ability to adopt innovative practices. Business New Brunswick Minister Greg Byrne announced the Innovation Recognition Award recipients on Oct. 21.
"These companies have demonstrated that in New Brunswick you can be more innovative, more creative and more successful," said Byrne. "Our innovative small businesses will be integral to achieving our goal of self-sufficiency by 2026."
The award recipients were nominated by their local Enterprise agency. Enterprise Carleton nominated Maritime Dimension Hardwood Inc. The recognition takes place every year at the beginning of Small Business Week.
The Woodstock company's list of products include bio bricks, a renewable, environmentally friendly form of energy, as well as hardword lumber, cut-to-size hardwood pieces, pre-finished hardwood flooring and pallets.
Maritime Dimension Hardwood Inc. exports its products around the world, shipping to the Austria, Sweden, Germany, Poland, France, Finland and Switzerland in Europe, as well as China and the United States.
