Why the Liberals were beaten so badly
Another federal election is over and we now know what our next Parliament will look like.
One of the biggest stories from the election has to be the failure of the Liberal Party of Canada to connect with voters.
There is no question that the Liberals took a beating in the election and poor communications is a big reason why. Good communications is crucial today. You have to be able to frame how the media will cover your message. You also must be able to articulate your message in a way that makes it very easy to understand and easy for people to connect with. I don't think any of the federal parties pulled this off as well as they could have but the Liberals did a very poor job and that is a big reason why the election ended in the way it did for them.
How the Liberal Party of Canada handled the election of 2008 is truly a lesson in what will happen when you don't know how to communicate with the public.

In the 1993 election the Conservatives ended up holding on to only 2 seats! NOW THAT IS GETTING BEATEN BADLY!!!
We are losing the war on drugs folks THAT IS becoming very edident!
Chretian and his Liberal Puppets campaigned with the promise that if they were to win, the Liberals would eliminate the GST. And because the people of canada wanted the GST gone, most voted Liberal then. But like every other promise the Liberals made, they broke it.
And the 2nd reason being Like Stepahen Dion Kim Cambell was given the reins of the PC party. Only problem was, like Dion everytime she opened her mouth she put her foot in it, and showed canada how incompetent she really was. The same applied to Stephane Dion. But Like the Broken Promise of Chretian in 1993. Canadians learned and this time knew better then to believe the liberals. And that is why the liberals lost. That and the fact the last thing canada needs in these unstable economic times is another tax.
