"Anything less is second best"
"Anything less is second best"
I see this phrase being used in real estate advertising.
But really, how would one apply this claim to the provision of real estate services in New Brunswick?
Well in a real estate transaction anything less than full agency representation must surely be considered second best.
And what about the class of real estate licence?
Dealing with a person with a real Agent's license must be better than dealing with a person with a Salesman's license.
Of all real estate licenses issued in New Brunswick, only about 12 % are Agent licenses.

Besides the obvious answer that real estate agents try and scare the crap out of you and don't want you to know those properties listed independently often sell quicker because people can lower the price of the home without actually losing money because they don't pay an obscene commission.
However there are also many people who would rather hire a licensed professional than try to "do it themselves". And it's their choice to make.
I can't speak for other real estate licensees but I never, never try to scare people. I provide factual information and offer sound advice to my clients, either as their agent when buying or their agent when selling. Then my clients are able to make an informed decision for themselves.
